Overview

NOVO Health Services offers linen management solutions to the healthcare industry, focusing on safety and infection control. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance on laundry and boiler room equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, modify, or make new parts for mechanical equipment.
  • Manually set up and use a 250 amp electrical welder.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, repair, modify, and install machinery and equipment.
  • Dismantle defective machines and replace defective parts.
  • Operate machinery to determine the cause of component or system failure.
  • Maintain and complete proper log and work orders.
  • Clean and lubricate parts of machinery.
  • Install, align, tension, and maintain various drives and assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and wiring systems.
  • Safely operate forklifts/manlifts and wear proper safety equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance when 'Engineer on duty.'
  • Report to and collaborate with management on facility-related issues.
  • Set and maintain a professional work environment.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Assist and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School, GED or equivalent plus 4 to 6 years of related experience.
  • Possess electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding skills.
  • Must be computer literate and understand PLC principles.
  • Have working knowledge of HAZMAT, MSDs, EPA and OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze electrical and mechanical schematics.
