Overview

DRiV is a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of automotive products with approximately 78,000 team members across more than 300 sites worldwide. The Industrial Mechanic role involves maintaining efficient and safe operations of equipment and machinery in the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technician support to manufacturing maintenance and repair.
  • Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
  • Locate, troubleshoot, and repair breakdowns of machinery.
  • Make repairs and updates to the building facility.
  • Promptly report quality problems and shut down equipment if necessary.
  • Identify process and equipment inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Perform a variety of equipment repair activities.
  • Move and install equipment, making necessary adjustments.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Fabricate parts and safety guards for equipment.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of high school highly preferred.
  • Additional training or certification as required for the area worked.
  • Skills to take on a variety of assignments within the area of expertise.
