Overview

Clyde’s Donuts is a family-owned food manufacturer known for high-quality donuts since 1920. The Maintenance Mechanic role involves performing mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Build collaborative relationships with production and maintenance personnel.
  • Use computerized maintenance management system to manage maintenance schedules and work orders.
  • Complete daily inspections and emergency repairs of equipment and systems.
  • Install new electrical and mechanical equipment as directed.
  • Perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot various control systems.
  • Maintain facility utilities and safety equipment.
  • Read schematics and maintain organized documentation.
  • Maintain accurate spare parts inventory and good housekeeping.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in training of others and comply with safety requirements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of related industrial maintenance experience or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and preventative maintenance software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and solve practical problems.
  • Able to read and interpret complex work instructions and technical manuals.
  • Basic math skills and ability to apply algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Effective communication skills in questioning, listening, speaking, and writing.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and uses time efficiently.

  • Location: 1120 West Fullerton Avenue, Addison IL
  • Schedule: 5-day work week including either Saturday or Sunday
  • Shift: 2nd Shift/ 2:00-10:30pm
  • Overtime: Voluntary OT is available
