Overview

C&W Services is a leading integrated facility services provider focused on helping clients reduce operating expenses and improve facility efficiency. The Mechatronics Robotics Technician role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining robotic systems in a full-time, on-site capacity in the New York City Metropolitan Area.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain robotic systems, including robotic welding equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
  • Implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor robot performance and update programming as needed.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams for efficient facility operations.
  • Follow safety protocols and document work performed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in robotics and automation.

Requirements

  • Practical skills in Robotics and Robot operation, including setup, calibration, and basic programming.
  • Experience with Robotic Welding systems and related mechatronic equipment in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Abilities in preventive maintenance, including inspections and routine servicing.
  • Relevant technical education such as a diploma, associate degree, or apprenticeship in mechatronics, robotics, electrical, or mechanical technology.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and safe work practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in a facilities, manufacturing, or automation environment is beneficial.
