Job Description

Overview

Walmart is expanding its workforce and is actively recruiting Developmental Technicians specializing in General Facilities and Maintenance. This role involves maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of stores, equipment, and fixtures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist or perform maintenance and repair of Walmart facilities under supervision.
  • Utilize multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry to complete jobs.
  • Use the work order management system to receive and document repair activities.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
  • Inspect and diagnose issues with facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
  • Must maintain an excellent driving record.
  • 1 year of experience in plumbing, electrical, or related area, or 2 years of Walmart store experience.
  • Ability to read and speak English as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations.
