Overview

Corning is a leading innovator in glass, ceramic, and materials science, seeking a Facilities Associate to provide diagnostic and repair services for manufacturing equipment. The role requires strong communication and time management skills to efficiently handle maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic and repair services for manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform mechanical repairs on production machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery.
  • Assist Lead Maintenance technicians as needed.
  • Identify and replace parts as necessary.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
  • Utilize machine tool manuals and technical documents to troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Complete all maintenance-related paperwork.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in performing maintenance of general facility type machines.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance work instructions.
  • Knowledge of common OEM machine controllers.
  • Basic understanding of low voltage schematics, pneumatic pumps, and solenoids.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
