Overview

MISTRAS is hiring dedicated Level II RT and Level II MT, PT, UTT Technicians who are willing to travel and work on projects and turnarounds as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate equipment.
  • Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s).
  • Interpret, evaluate and document results.
  • Direct the work of trainees and Level I technicians.
  • Familiarize with codes, standards, and contractual documents.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Obtain and analyze information.
  • Edit and present numerical data effectively.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for MT/PT/UTT.
  • Prior certification as an NDE Level II with one year experience or as an NDE Level I technician with adequate field experience hours.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities.
  • Adaptability to changes in the work environment.
  • Dependability in attendance and following instructions.
  • Commitment to quality and safety procedures.

Additional Information

  • Field duties require outdoor work in a plant.
  • Interaction with other crew employees and supervisors.
  • Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise.
  • Must be physically fit and able to carry 50 lbs.
  • May be required to travel out of town periodically.
