Overview

We are seeking an experienced Patternmaker and Cutter specializing in furniture manufacturing to join our team. If you have a strong eye for detail, multi-task oriented, deep knowledge of upholstery products, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate first patterns and production patterns directly from furniture frames and shop drawings.
  • Cut first samples and production lots using manual cutting machines, ensuring optimal material yield and precision.
  • Account for fill type, fabric/material stretch, pattern/flow matching during the drafting and cutting process.
  • Inspect cut pieces for accuracy against specifications and collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless assembly.

Requirements

  • Proficient in upholstery pattern drafting and knowledgeable of furniture construction.
  • Able to operate manual cutting machines and tools.
  • Excellent measuring skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately read, interpret, and work from shop drawings and technical specifications of furniture.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
