Overview

ENGEL is a leader in the injection molding industry, known for its innovative technology and commitment to sustainable growth. The company is seeking a Field Service Technician to support its operations in North America, providing installation and service for injection molding equipment while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots and repairs injection molding machines and robots.
  • Conducts tests and inspections on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Performs software and hardware installations.
  • Conducts safety checks on equipment.
  • Educates customers on equipment operation.
  • Manages resolution of customer issues and orders replacement parts as necessary.
  • Instructs other technicians and customer operators on maintenance and safe operations.
  • Communicates with Central Service/Manufacturing/Parts Center for problem resolution.
  • Provides regular written reports to the Service Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in injection molding troubleshooting or processing.
  • Knowledge of blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting systems.
  • Experience with injection molding machines and related systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems systematically.
  • Knowledge of microprocessor programming.
  • Familiarity with materials such as PET, Polypropylene, and Polyethylene.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a valid Passport and driver's license in good standing.
