Responsibilities

  • Work from engineering drawings and customer specifications to fabricate, assemble, and weld custom bases and enclosures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Gather materials and prepare components for assembly and welding.
  • Perform MIG welding on structural steel, sheet metal, and fabricated assemblies.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Install components such as structural steel, brackets, hinges, doors, insulation, Z-bars, and lift lugs.
  • Use cutting, grinding, and finishing tools to complete assemblies.
  • Inspect welds and finished products for quality and accuracy.
  • Repair or rework products as needed to meet customer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • MIG welding experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Experience working with structural steel and metal fabrication.
  • Proficiency using grinders, hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
  • Strong understanding of measurements, fractions, and basic shop math.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Previous manufacturing or fabrication shop experience.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Experience with metal finishing, grinding, and assembly work.
