Overview

We are looking for skilled Steel Welders and Steel Fitters to build high-quality metal components. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, fabricating and fitting metal components or structures.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints.
  • Fabricate and fit metal components or structures.
  • Grind and finish completed projects as a welder.
  • Fit steel components such as beam, plate, pipe, and tube.
  • Layout raw materials to create parts for sub-assemblies using oxy/acetylene torch and plasma cutters.
  • Conform with state and company safety regulations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience as a steel welder or metal fabricator in a manufacturing facility.
  • 5+ years' experience fitting steel components with tolerances no greater than 1/8".
  • Must have own tools such as squares, levels, hammers, centerpunches, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in .045 dual flux core welding process.
  • Standard knowledge of rigging practices utilizing 5t-15t cranes.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.
  • Ability to stand, bend, or kneel for long periods.
  • Must be able to pass a weld test.
  • Negative drug screen required.
