Overview

Metso is an industry leader that transforms essential materials for sustainable modern life. They are seeking a Welder to join their Repairs Welding team in Mesa, Arizona, focusing on the repair and manufacturing of mining and process equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications.
  • Perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
  • Set up and operate common welding equipment and processes.
  • Cut and excavate cracks using air carbon arc equipment.
  • Heat, form, finish, grind, and dress metal parts using appropriate tools.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to handle heavy workpieces.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and complete required inspection documentation.
  • Follow all safety and plant rules while working with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of welding experience and ability to pass a welding test.
  • Ability to read and understand shop drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Working knowledge of welding and fabrication machinery and tools.
  • Intermediate math skills for measurement and problem-solving.
  • Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel as needed and work required overtime.
  • 2G, 3G, and/or 4G welding certification is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related repair and fabrication environment is preferred.

  • This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mesa, Arizona.
  • The position is non-exempt and may require overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
