Job Description

Overview

Tile Roofs of Texas is a Houston area leader in installation of various types of roofs and custom copper items. They are seeking an experienced copper expert to lead their sheet metal manufacturing team, focusing on high-quality metal structures and components.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
  • Perform machining tasks including pipe threading, drilling, and using precise measurements.
  • Conduct quality inspections on finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
  • Follow safety procedures related to construction site work, welding operations, and machinery.
  • Lead in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products or structures.

Requirements

  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Familiarity with standards applicable to metal fabrication projects.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
  • Experience working with sheet metal components and fabricating structural or mechanical parts like collector boxes and custom flashings.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely when required for material handling.
  • Detail-oriented team player with a passion for precision craftsmanship in metal fabrication.
  • Strong work ethic combined with technical skills necessary to produce high-quality work adhering to safety regulations.
  • Spanish language proficiency is required.
