Overview

Rocky Mountain ATV/MC has an exciting opportunity for a new team member to join our Brands department as a Welder I. The company has grown to become one of the world's largest providers for power-sport enthusiasts and is comprised of powersports enthusiasts who are committed to teamwork and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
  • Proven experience using wire feed MIG machines
  • Experience with precise cutting, grinding, and drilling
  • Ability to read and understand printed specifications and drawings
  • Ability to work safely using appropriate protective equipment
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to work independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to understand, read, and comprehend instructions and directions
  • Must be able to work scheduled hours
  • Be a collaborative team player

Requirements

  • Regular physical ability to walk and function in elevation changes
  • Ability to negotiate warehouse work areas safely
  • Vision abilities including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
  • Frequent ability to sit, talk, hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the basics of the English language
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds and up to 75 pounds assisted

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
