Overview

Titan Forge is a small custom fabrication and welding shop in Springville, specializing in building railings, stairs, gates, structural steel, and custom parts for various clients. The company seeks a Metal Fabrication Fitter to prepare materials for welders by reading plans and ensuring parts are cut and ready for use.

Responsibilities

  • Read shop drawings and determine cut lengths, angles, and quantities.
  • Cut, cope, bend, and roll tube, pipe, flat bar, and plate.
  • Use saws and grinders daily.
  • Operate the band saw and receive training on the tube bender, notcher, and press brake.
  • Organize parts by job and maintain workflow for welders.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Communicate with welders and the team to ensure readiness of parts.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in a shop environment: metal, wood, or manufacturing.
  • Ability to accurately use a tape measure.
  • Comfortable using calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong math skills including fractions, angles, and cut lengths.
  • Ability to read shop drawings and solve problems independently.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must bring own steel-toe boots and work clothes.
  • A past supervisor available for reference.
