Overview

Riley Power group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company headquartered in Rock Hill, SC, working nationwide on challenging construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. They are hiring a skilled Supervisor for multiple sites in the US.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the activity of up to 12 structural welders.
• Conduct thorough pre-job briefs and communicate daily priorities, hazards and production expectations with a focus on safety.
• Ensure welders follow procedures verbatim and monitor workmanship with a focus on first-time quality.
• Enforce safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct routine weld inspections to ensure welds are to specs.
• Inspect final welds prior to calling for QC inspection.
• Maintain an exceptional relationship with the client.
• Participate in onboarding new hires and training employees.
• Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, and address complaints.
• Monitor processes, materials, and surroundings.
• Evaluate information to determine compliance with NAVSEA standards.
• Instruct employees to use equipment or perform technical procedures.
• Keep detailed records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
• Use Microsoft Excel to enter, manipulate, and format data.
• Use Microsoft Outlook and company email to correspond with clients and co-workers.
• Monitor all crafts daily to ensure the highest quality standard.
• Perform daily random audits on craftsmen to ensure compliance with RPG and RPG Client policy/procedures.
• Ensure PPE is readily available and submit purchase orders to replenish PPE as needed.
• Keep up to date safety metrics on employees along with attendance and hours worked.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven supervisor experience.
• Strong understanding of NAVSEA requirements and documenting experience.
• Medical qualifications that may include a respirator fit test and clean shaven face as per OSHA standards.
• Ability to lead a crew of up to 12 people.
• NAVSEA/DoD experience.
• Strong communicator.
• Willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements.
• Ability to frequently walk, climb, or balance; regularly stand; and occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
• Ability to work in high, precarious places and exposure to various risks.
