Job Description

Overview

This role is for a Traveling GMAW Welder/Fabricator who will work with blueprints to fabricate heavy-gauge steel assemblies. The position emphasizes precision and reliability in welding and assembly tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate components such as fuel tanks, frames, and enclosures using MIG (GMAW) welding.
  • Clamp and position parts, tack, grind, assemble, and inspect work.
  • Troubleshoot basic issues and follow safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure projects meet specifications.

Requirements

  • MIG/GMAW welding background preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
  • Detail-oriented and motivated to learn.
  • Reliable and collaborative.
  • Willing to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime.
  • Pass background check and 5-panel drug test.
  • Pass pre-employment physical.
  • Pass written test and basic weld test on first day.

Additional Information

  • Base location: Greenfield, WI.
  • Compensation: $22/hour.
  • Per diem: $100 per day (days worked).
  • Shifts: 1st or 2nd (be willing to work either).
  • Workload: Up to 60 hours/week; overtime may be available with supervisor approval.
