Overview

HCC has been a leader in agricultural harvesting equipment since 1883, focusing on innovation and productivity. The company is looking for a Welder to join their team, emphasizing employee development and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Perform down hand acetylene arc and wire feed welding operations on various parts using jigs and fixtures.
  • Work from drawings and shop orders, using measuring tools to ensure parts conformance.
  • Select sequence of operations to prevent warpage and distortion, adjusting current and voltage as needed.
  • Check parts for damage or defects and file or grind to fit jigs as required.
  • Use all required PPE and maintain it in good condition, notifying management when new PPE is needed.
  • Perform welding operations on the assembly floor or in welding booths, moving components as necessary.
  • Use inspection equipment to assure parts meet quality standards, responsible for first piece and periodic inspections.
  • Change wire reels, move parts, and clean wire guides as required.
  • Notify Supervisor regarding difficulties with parts or equipment malfunctions.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean, neat, productive, and safe.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to use inspection equipment.
  • Working knowledge of welding equipment and various hand and power tools.
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and industrial forklifts.
