Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Must obtain and maintain welding qualifications and certifications based on product and customer requirements.

• Completion of welding training or technical education is a plus.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment.

• Experience performing GTAW (TIG) welding on stainless steel pipe and precision components.

• Ability to pass a 1G open root welding test on 3″ Schedule 80 316 stainless steel pipe; successful candidates may advance to 6G qualification requirements.

• Experience working with production and prototype parts requiring strict quality and certification standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of welding precious metals, semi-precious metals, stainless steel, and other specialty materials.

• Experience operating automated or programmed welding equipment.

• Ability to read blueprints, welding procedures, and technical specifications.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.

• Experience supporting weld process development, training other welders, or collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform welding tasks for extended periods.

• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for precision welding work.

• Ability to lift, position, and handle materials, tools, and welding equipment.

• Capable of working in a manufacturing environment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Ability to perform detailed work requiring close visual inspection and adherence to quality standards.

Job Duties

• Perform GTAW (TIG) welding on production and prototype components in accordance with engineering specifications and certification requirements.

• Weld stainless steel pipe, instrumentation components, and specialty metal parts while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

• Set up fixtures, prepare materials, and lay out workpieces for welding operations.

• Operate manual and automated welding equipment to support production requirements.

• Troubleshoot welding issues, recommend process improvements, and assist in developing welding parameters.

• Ensure completed welds meet quality standards and pass required destructive and non-destructive testing.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing process reviews, and workplace organization efforts.

• Train and support other welders as needed while maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

• Follow all company safety procedures and report unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment concerns promptly.

What You Will Do

As a Welder you will perform TIG welding on fabricated components, interpret blueprints and welding specifications, prepare materials, inspect completed welds, operate fabrication equipment, verify measurements, maintain welding equipment, and support safe, accurate, and efficient manufacturing operations while producing high-quality finished products.

A Welder helps manufacture precision products by joining metal components through accurate TIG welding and fabrication techniques. This role requires steady hands, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing quality workmanship.
