Overview

UL Solutions is a global leader in applied safety science, transforming safety, security, and sustainability challenges into opportunities for customers. They are seeking Engineering Interns for the summer of 2027 to join their teams in various locations across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Work within one of the operating units: Built Environment, Energy and Industrial Automation, Engineered Materials, or Research & Development.
  • Assist in creating safer structures and testing products and building materials.
  • Engage in projects related to electrical infrastructure, renewable energy, and electrified transportation.
  • Test wires and cables for various applications including medical devices and mobile phones.
  • Collaborate on research projects that investigate emerging technologies and develop new safety methodologies.

Requirements

  • Rising senior currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Textile Engineering, Chemistry, Fire Safety or related major.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have indefinite right to work in the United States.

Additional Information

  • This role is hybrid - 3 days a week on-site.
  • The internship will consist of a 10-12 week long project, networking, learning & development opportunities.

Compensation

  • The hourly rate for this role is $27.00.
