Overview

R+L Carriers is seeking a skilled and dependable Facility Maintenance Technician for their Phoenix, AZ Service Center. This role is essential for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the facilities, requiring at least 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, welding, and carpentry trades.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs across company facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems.
  • Weld and fabricate steel components and equipment.
  • Perform general carpentry work.
  • Ensure all work and repairs meet safety and compliance standards.
  • Inspect equipment and facilities regularly and respond to maintenance requests.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Assist in emergency repairs and snow/ice removal when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to support shop and yard functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical, plumbing, welding, and carpentry.
  • Strong welding skills with steel, including fabrication and repair.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools and the ability to read blueprints/schematics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of safety procedures and building codes.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
  • Ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty and work in varying weather conditions.
