Overview

Join Reddy Ice as a Plant Maintenance Specialist II and serve as a reliability champion for our manufacturing and facility systems. You’ll blend strong electrical expertise, practical welding skills, and journeyman-level maintenance experience to prevent failures, fix problems fast, and continuously improve processing times while cutting downtime.

Responsibilities

• Execute rigorous preventive maintenance and smart corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot PLC, electrical, and mechanical issues decisively.
• Perform small facility/property repairs and operate equipment when needed to keep lines running.
• Identify and apply the right tools and techniques for quality repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 years of experience in an industrial maintenance operation.
• One of the following maintenance credentials: Journeyman Certification/License in Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical, Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator, Certified Maintenance Technician Level III, or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician.

Additional Information

• Work across office areas and all plant locations, indoors and outdoors.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, ammonia, and heavy moving equipment.
• Schedule includes nights and weekends; occasional travel and overtime may be required.
• Must be able to use hand and heavy electric tools and lift a minimum of 45 lbs.
