Overview

The Assembly Operator assembles flexible and semi-rigid RF cables to engineering specifications, soldering and welding connectors according to customer requirements. Times Microwave Systems offers a clean and quiet environment for assembling high-quality RF cables for military, aerospace, and space applications.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets engineering documents
  • Follows work instructions to produce flexible and semi-rigid cables per customer requirements
  • Works with Engineers to problem solve production issues
  • Preps cables to prepare for assembly
  • Solders or welds connectors to cables
  • Measures and bends specialty cables to specific dimensions
  • Completes Required Documentation

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience Manufacturing Cable Or Cable Assemblies, Preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Ability to read micrometers and calipers
  • Ability to read, speak and understand English
  • Welding Or Soldering Experience, Preferred
  • Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide), including working with fractions and decimals
  • Ability to work effectively with small hand tools and microscopes
