Overview

At Niagara, the Sr. Maintenance Technician ensures equipment uptime through troubleshooting and repair of production equipment, while sharing knowledge with the maintenance team and operators. Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment uptime through timely troubleshooting and repair of equipment failures.
• Act as a subject matter expert on various production equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of facilities and auxiliary equipment.
• Work with maintenance technicians, operators, supervisors, and managers to resolve mechanical issues.
• Develop and implement best practices aligned with maintenance strategies.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts and assist with training.
• Train mechanics and supervisors on technical procedures.
• Rapidly identify machine problems to minimize equipment downtime.
• Define requirements and lead overhaul efforts to rebuild equipment.
• Create SOPs for troubleshooting machines.

Requirements

• 6 years of experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
• 6 years of experience in the position.
• 4 years of experience managing people/projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Skilled in the use of shop equipment and precision measuring tools.
• Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer.

• Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Will need own toolbox and basic tools.
