Overview

ClarkDietrich is a leading manufacturer of cold-formed steel framing and interior and exterior finishing products in North America, offering a strong work ethic and investment in employee development. They are seeking a Manufacturing Team Member for their Dallas, TX location, working from Sunday to Thursday, 10 PM to 6 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and adjust metal forming equipment using appropriate tools and procedures.
  • Keep mill operating according to procedures and in good condition.
  • Operate cutback saw safely and to order specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the mill and surrounding area.
  • Perform all changeovers using appropriate tooling.
  • Change punches and shear dies.
  • Meet machine goals.
  • Assist in training co-workers.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Follow all safety rules and operational procedures.
  • Perform Lockout Procedure as required.
  • Wear and maintain all required PPE.
  • Notify management of any malfunctioning or missing safety devices.
  • Perform quality checks using measuring tools.
  • Maintain quality paperwork legibly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and notify maintenance personnel of issues.
  • Assist maintenance personnel as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
  • Assist material handler with changing coils and follow reject policy.
  • Direct, assist, and train helpers.
  • Complete required paperwork to specification.

Requirements

  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Problem solver.
  • Team oriented.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Military equivalent recognized in lieu of education and/or experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for 8 or more hours per day.
  • Ability to walk off and on for 4-6 hours per day.
  • Ability to squat, bend, flex, and extend arms.
  • Ability to grasp with both hands for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and converting fractions into decimals.
  • Ability to read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer accurately.
