Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery.
• Conduct inspections, lubrication, and adjustments for efficient equipment operation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Respond to emergency repairs of production equipment during manufacturing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area.
• Monitor and repair facility systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety training programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to food safety.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with production supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to address maintenance issues.
• Provide technical assistance and training to production staff.
• Work non-standard hours as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school education preferred.
• 5 years of related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• 5 years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting on various systems.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI development.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and learn new technologies.
• Ability to perform mechanical repairs including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to operate a computer for documentation.
