This position is for a CNC Lathe Operator on the 3rd shift, focusing on the fabrication of lathe products with opportunities for continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Perform fabrication of lathe products using customer or GT drawings with minimum supervision.
• Edit CNC Programs for various lathes.
• Operate all fabrication equipment in the area, including multiple machines at once.
• Set up, load, and run equipment to manufacture and inspect various components.
• Make adjustments and assist operators to produce quality parts as per production requirements.
• Utilize Standard Measuring Instruments and perform First Piece and in-process inspections.
• Participate in team meetings for operational planning and improvement ideas.
• Download and utilize required drawings and inspection sheets.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance for all assigned equipment.
• Operate ancillary equipment in the department.
• Perform miscellaneous duties in the work area as required.
• Maintain part Quality Standards in compliance with the Company’s Quality Policy.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 12 months CNC Lathe experience in a production environment.
• Preferred proficiency in machining thermoplastic materials.
• G-Code knowledge including understanding machine commands and editing.
• Proficient with operating a workstation computer.
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings and work instructions.
