Overview

We are looking for a temp to perm Repair Technician to support a northern NJ company with far-reaching innovation efforts across equipment for medical/optical imaging. The role involves cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and repairing refractive products, with extensive training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, inspect, calibrate, and repair refractive products
  • Identify damaged, missing, contaminated, or malfunctioning components
  • Perform functional checks of lenses, knobs, dials, controls, and moving parts
  • Replace approved parts and components
  • Accurately complete quality-control forms and repair documentation
  • Record all repair activities, parts used, test results, equipment status, and other required information in Salesforce CRM
  • Prepare and package completed equipment according to approved procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Follow all quality, safety, and repair procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to communicate in either English or Spanish
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills
  • Ability to learn and use Salesforce CRM
  • Ability to sit and work at a repair desk for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Ability to accurately complete quality-control forms
  • Ability to follow instructions and use basic hand tools
  • Ability to report to the Oakland, New Jersey office every scheduled workday
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Previous repair or optical-equipment experience is preferred but not required
