Overview

The Foreman I - Piping position involves leading and managing a team of Pipefitters to ensure high-quality service and profitability. The role requires close collaboration with the Superintendent and includes responsibilities such as project reviews, scheduling, and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Pipefitters.
  • Develop solutions to prevent issues.
  • Review projects with Superintendent and/or Project Manager.
  • Conduct physical surveys of projects with the Superintendent.
  • Perform takeoffs for projects in a timely manner.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions.
  • Provide daily job completion percentages.
  • Ensure compliance with project procedures and safety requirements.
  • Document incidents and notify relevant personnel.
  • Ensure weekly reports are filled and submitted.
  • Conduct job inspections to meet company standards.
  • Coordinate with the shop for production scheduling.
  • Read blueprints and prepare materials lists.
  • Work to increase team efficiency and uphold safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Maintain professionalism in appearance and speech.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with a current journeyman license or ability to obtain.
  • 2+ years of experience as a lead technician.
  • Ability to transition into a leadership role.
  • Strong background in Mechanical HVAC.
  • Experience with carbon steel piping systems and welded pipe installation.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and follow-up skills.
  • Self-motivated and punctual.
