Overview

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a Senior Structural Steel Detailer to join their team, focusing on producing high-quality structural steel fabrication drawings. The company has been an industry leader in the Mid-Atlantic Region for over 50 years and values making their people count.

Responsibilities

• Lead Revit modelling and detailing for complex projects.
• Own larger scopes of fabrication projects and develop detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures.
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design intent.
• Resolve complex connections and clashes, performing QA/QC final checks.
• Produce shop drawings, erection drawings, BOMs and NC files, and material take-offs.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, junior detailers, and fabrication shop personnel.
• Estimate efforts and support client communications when necessary.
• Review and check drawings for quality, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
• Manage revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in resolving design and fabrication issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Revit Detailer (structural steel) with leadership experience.
• Ability to work independently while leading projects for the detailing team.
• Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures.
• Strong knowledge of AISC codes, engineering judgement, and relevant industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Experience with clash detection and coordination.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
