Overview

Archer Western Construction, LLC is currently seeking a Carpenter for the Central Water Group/Tom Taylor Phase 3B Project in Lewisville, Texas. The Carpenter constructs, erects, and installs structures made of wood and other materials using various tools for commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities

  • Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down work.
  • Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drain structures, walls, and additional structures.
  • May assist with installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs.
  • Uses carpenter’s belt with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other wood making machinery.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of verifiable experience preferred.
  • Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
  • Requires good manual dexterity and may be standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
