Overview

Messersmith Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join their custom fabrication facility in Bark River, MI. The role involves various welding and fabrication tasks, with some travel required for equipment installations across the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Reading and following blueprints for equipment fabrication and assembly
  • Operating plasma burn table
  • Shearing, bending, cutting, and forming steel
  • Sanding, grinding, and cleaning welds
  • Machining (mill and lathe) and drilling of components
  • Casting refractory
  • Operating forklifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, and other heavy machinery

Requirements

  • Prior welding experience is required
  • Ability to commute to Bark River, MI 49807
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for equipment installations
  • Possession of a driver's license and ability to obtain a Chauffeur License for vehicles up to 26,000 lb
