Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Robotic and Manual Welding Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating robotic welding cells alongside performing manual MIG and TIG welding.

Responsibilities

  • Operate robotic welding cells and perform manual MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding.
  • Work in a fast-paced automotive or metal fabrication manufacturing floor.
  • Configure and troubleshoot human-machine interface (HMI) systems for seamless operation of automated equipment.
  • Load, clamp, and unload parts into automated/robotic welding fixtures; execute and monitor pre-programmed welding cycles.
  • Perform hands-on MIG and TIG welding for prototyping, complex angles, rework, or secondary components that automated arms cannot reach.
  • Adjust fixture components, clear weld spatter, change tips/nozzles, and perform minor touch-ups or program adjustments on robotic controllers.
  • Inspect finished parts for correct dimensions, penetration, and bead size using calipers, gauges, and visual checks.
  • Grind, deburr, or chip excess slag and rough edges from welded assemblies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing welding experience, including both manual and automated/robotic systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and use basic measuring tools.
  • High school diploma or trade school welding certification; AWS credentials are a strong plus.

Additional Information

  • Work Location: In person

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
