Overview

FAST Global Solutions is seeking a Welder for our Day Shift in Auburn, NE. The position offers a sign-on bonus of $2,500 and involves working from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
  • Connects cables from welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse as specified by engineer.
  • Manually guides electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement.
  • Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
  • Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes.
  • Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles them in jig or fixtures.
  • Selects torch, torch tip, filler rod, and flux according to welding chart specifications.
  • Tacks assemblies together.
  • Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter.
  • Cleans or de-greases parts.
  • Moves parts in and moves finished product out of welding area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or at least 1-3 months related experience.
  • Basic language and math skills and reasoning ability.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics D365 is preferred.
  • Must be able to stand continuously for a 10 hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Vision with depth perception is required.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and levels of humidity.
