Overview

The Ironworker position requires the ability to install pre-engineered metal buildings and perform connecting work at heights. Candidates should have safety knowledge, familiarity with hand signals, and experience with pre-engineered buildings, pole barns, metal studs, and welding is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install pre-engineered metal buildings and perform connecting work.
  • Participate in safety training and identify job hazards.
  • Show up on time and ready to complete work.
  • Follow directions from manager, lead, or superintendent.
  • Respect self, co-workers, managers, company, contractors, and clients.
  • Take care of company-owned or rented equipment.
  • Adapt methods to complete tasks.
  • Be willing to go the extra mile for the team.

Requirements

  • Communicate effectively both in written and verbal forms.
  • Ability to use an assortment of hand tools.
  • Skill to operate a variety of machinery.
  • Gather correct tools needed for tasks.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
  • Perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day.
  • Climb ladders and perform bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Maintain prolonged standing and walking.
  • Fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safety.
  • Use power tools safely and efficiently.
