Overview

Kupferer Brothers Iron Works is a St. Louis steel fabricator, in business for over 75 years. They are hiring experienced shop ironworkers and welder/fitters for their plant, focusing on structural and ornamental steel fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Fit and weld structural and ornamental steel
  • Operate or assist with automated processing equipment
  • Operate standard fabrication equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Stack and handle materials
  • Keep work areas clean

Requirements

  • 3+ years shop ironwork and/or production welding experience
  • Pass a fillet weld certification test
  • Read weld symbols and assemble/weld from detailed drawings
  • Working knowledge of MIG welding
  • Ability to stand, lift, and work in a production shop all day
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Welding hood and steel-toed boots
