Overview

Antelope Valley College is seeking applications for the adjunct faculty applicant pool for the position of Welding Instructor. This role involves instructing students in welding and may include teaching courses at various times and locations.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students in the assigned discipline.
  • Teach courses during the day, evening, online, and/or off-campus sites.

Requirements

  • Any bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience, OR any associate degree AND six years of professional experience or equivalency.
  • American Welding Society or Los Angeles City Welding Certification, OR nationally recognized certification or licenses.
  • Eight years' experience as a journeyman welder or welding instructor, with two years as an instructor, trainer, or supervisor in the welding field.

Additional Information

  • Applications must include a current resume, letter of intent, scanned copy of official transcripts, and two current letters of professional reference.
  • Residency within a reasonable geographical area of the college may be necessary.
  • Travel expenses for pre-employment interviews will not be authorized.
  • AVC does not sponsor visas.
