Overview

The Welder II position at RTX involves setting up and operating welding equipment, performing various welding operations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. RTX is the world's largest aerospace and defense company, dedicated to solving complex problems and redefining the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate welding equipment according to technical drawings and WPS parameter ranges.
  • Execute manual, semiautomatic, mechanized, and automatic GTAW welding operations on various thin-gauge materials.
  • Examine welds according to visual inspection and commercial quality criteria.
  • Adhere to company rules and regulations regarding safety and compliance.
  • Assist in training other welders and interpret technical documents.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma or vocational/technical education with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • 1+ years GTAW welding experience and 1+ years welding fabrication experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.

Additional Information

  • This is a 3rd Shift position from 11:00 PM until 7:00 AM.
  • Training might be required on 1st shift from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
  • Position is onsite at US-NC-WILSON-4200.
