Overview

NSI is a progressive manufacturer of die castings focused on the electrical and network infrastructure markets, seeking a Machine Maintenance Mechanic for their Norridge, IL location. This full-time position offers opportunities for growth and a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Check casting machines daily for oil, air, water, and gas leaks and repair as needed
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic pumps, hydraulic and air cylinders, and solenoid valves
  • Check melting pots, goosenecks, and nozzles in all casting machines and replace
  • Check and repair casting machine clamping presses, replace worn out components, adjust, then test
  • Check and replace oil and oil filters as needed
  • Check and repair spray lubrication system
  • Repair hydraulic accumulators as needed
  • Install necessary limit switches on all new molds and adjust/repair limit switch mounting on existing molds
  • Replace feeders, plungers and rings as needed
  • Obtain machine failure information from operator; troubleshoot and correct issue
  • Adjust operating equipment with confirmation of department supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned by Plant Engineering Manager
