Overview

Chromalloy is a global engineering and solutions company that provides aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions to extend the life of aircraft engines and gas turbines. The company is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Specialist for 3rd shift to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and facility systems, ensuring equipment reliability and supporting the production of aerospace components.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on Plasma and EB-PVD equipment and supporting systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems.
  • Diagnose issues with motors, starters, relays, solenoids, servo drives, DC power supplies, and process controls.
  • Maintain vacuum pumps, exhaust/extraction systems, cooling systems, and process equipment.
  • Calibrate gauges, sensors, and instrumentation.
  • Perform welding, brazing, fabrication, plumbing, and machine shop work as required.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document maintenance activities and follow all safety and quality requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5-7 years of industrial equipment maintenance experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Working knowledge of 480V/220V electrical systems and diagnostic tools such as multimeters and amp probes.
  • Experience troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or become certified.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Additional Information

  • 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday 11:00pm - 7:00am.
  • This position is represented by Local 475.
  • Shift Differential: 15%.
  • Starting Rate: $36.67/hr.
  • New hires must be available to train on 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00a-3:00p) for a minimum of 90 days before transitioning to their regularly assigned shift.
