Overview

Fortell is building breakthrough AI-powered hearing technology that redefines how people experience sound and connect with the world. They are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to provide hands-on support to their electrical and mechanical engineering teams working on hearing aid devices.

Responsibilities

• Assist electrical and mechanical engineers with a variety of hands-on technical tasks related to hearing aid devices.
• Build, modify, and rework hearing aid devices and components to support engineering and product development.
• Perform soldering, wiring, mechanical assembly, and rework as needed.
• Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and validation of devices and components.
• Support the development and implementation of test equipment.
• Support the development and implementation of test plans.
• Assemble production devices as needed.
• Support documentation, including SOPs and technical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards.

Requirements

• High-school diploma; associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience in soldering (wires, not SMT).
• Proficiency in working with small devices and components.
• General mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage a variety of tasks.
• Strong work ethic, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment.
