Overview

Attalon is a leading technology partner to the global aerospace and defense industry, specializing in the physics of light and heat. The Equipment Maintenance Technician role involves the maintenance, repair, and construction of production machinery at the Philadelphia facility.

Responsibilities

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of optical engineering design theory and manufacturing engineering principles.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to perform assigned responsibilities safely and efficiently.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot, and perform corrective maintenance on facilities infrastructure systems and equipment.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company policies related to building operations and safety.
  • Evaluate and recommend preventative maintenance to ensure maximum machine up-time.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as necessary.
  • Assure proper operation of HVAC, water plant, sprinkler, electrical, and other utility systems.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to facilitate completion of department-specific projects.
  • Maintain awareness of company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of 480V/277V electrical circuits, electronics, mechanical systems, pumps & motors, and PLCs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and vendor partners simultaneously.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and building automation systems.
  • Fluency in reading and evaluating operating and maintenance instructions and manufacturing drawings.
