Overview

The Senior Technician in Facility Services for Food Equipment is responsible for performing routine and major maintenance, repairs, and inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure safety and functionality. This role includes training less-experienced associates and managing work orders and inventory while complying with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure safety and functionality of facilities and equipment.
  • Inspect, clean, and repair equipment, documenting signs of wear and tear.
  • Perform major and minor repairs and oversee work of less-experienced associates.
  • Utilize multiple craft skills to diagnose issues and dismantle equipment for repairs.
  • Train a Developmental Technician through hands-on instruction.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors.
  • Conduct price comparisons and manage parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for business-critical needs.
  • Operate and inspect heavy machinery and powered equipment.
  • Maintain company vehicles and coordinate required maintenance.
  • Submit maintenance invoices for payment and verify vehicle insurance.
  • Lead and participate in teams to achieve business priorities.
  • Develop and implement processes to meet business needs.
  • Promote compliance with company policies and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Vocational or technical certification and 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
  • 6 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
  • License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
  • Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
  • No more than two moving violations in the last three years.
  • No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
  • No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
