Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Testing Facility Operator / Equipment Assembly Specialist to join our team at our Atlanta facility. This is a hands-on, dual-function role supporting our newly established Testing Facility.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and tear down material separation and recovery equipment for customer sample trials.
  • Receive, log, weigh, prepare, and stage incoming customer sample materials.
  • Execute test plans defined by Process Engineering, including feed-rate and recovery/yield measurement.
  • Accurately record trial data and assemble it into clean test reports.
  • Maintain lab housekeeping, dust control, and material traceability between trials.
  • Mechanically assemble equipment and integrated systems per drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Perform basic electrical and control hookup, pneumatic and hydraulic connections.
  • Conduct fit-up checks, alignment, and pre-shipment functional testing of assembled equipment.
  • Identify and flag missing, damaged, or out-of-spec parts.
  • Prepare equipment for crating and shipment, including documentation support.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE protocols.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance on testing-facility equipment.
  • Conduct daily and shift-start inspections and log findings.
  • Maintain dust collection systems to protect equipment and air quality.
  • Replace wear components before failure to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Track equipment uptime and downtime, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage PM tickets, spare-parts inventory, and consumables.
  • Clean, calibrate, and verify test instrumentation and sampling equipment.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with engineering and the equipment manager.
