Overview

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is a nonprofit, applied research division of the Georgia Institute of Technology, focusing on solving complex problems for government and industry. The Robotic Branch of the Intelligent Sustainable Technologies Division is seeking a student Co-op for Spring 2027 to work on dexterous control of robotic arms and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Work on various aspects of dexterous control of a robotic arm and small mobile platforms.
  • Design, develop and implement mechanical and electrical systems for robot platforms.
  • Conduct background research.
  • Perform Solidworks design.
  • Engage in programming, debugging, and testing.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.
  • Eligibility to participate in a co-op program and register for co-op credit with your university.
  • Ability to complete at least three full-time co-op terms prior to graduation.

Additional Information

  • 40 hours per week.
