Overview

The Maintenance Associate position at International Paper involves following safety protocols, participating in a training program, and assisting qualified mechanics with maintenance tasks. The company focuses on sustainable packaging solutions and values employee well-being and inclusivity.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Participate in the Maintenance Associate Program, completing on-the-job and online training in mechanical, electrical, and preventive maintenance.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all key areas of the Maintenance Associate Training Matrix.
  • Assist qualified mechanics with routine maintenance and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
  • Learn to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems.
  • Accurately complete maintenance records and keep supervisors informed of equipment issues.
  • Work effectively with team members, vendors, and subcontractors to meet maintenance goals.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support overall maintenance and production efficiency.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma (or GED) is required.
  • One to two years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is required.
  • Experience in the corrugated or converting industry is preferred but not required.
