JLG, an Oshkosh Company, has been committed to providing innovative solutions in the access market since 1969. The Mechanic I position involves basic repairs, calibration, and maintenance on equipment, leading a team in equipment diagnosis and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete activity-based repairs and service requirements as outlined on sales change orders.
  • Install various equipment accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
  • Follow verbal and written work instructions.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Aid in maintaining inventory accuracy through data entry.
  • Assist Assemblers in troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

  • 1 year of basic experience with hydraulics, electrical, gas, and diesel systems.
  • Strong math skills and basic mechanical aptitude.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of DC electricity and hydraulics.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use an iPad or laptop.
  • Basic understanding and usage of tools such as Multimeter, pressure tester, and analyzer.

  • Position based in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations.
  • Role may require standing for extended periods, lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds, and bending or kneeling.
  • Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.
