Overview

The Piping Engineer position in the Mechanical Department involves designing pipe systems under the supervision of a Mechanical Engineer, focusing on mechanical piping systems for process facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Develop and apply engineering principles into the design of mechanical piping systems.
  • Conduct pump calculations and create piping isometrics.
  • Define pipeline materials of construction and review P&ID’s.
  • Select pumps and pipeline components.
  • Learn and engage in various aspects of mechanical engineering.
  • Enhance proficiency in AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Working knowledge of 3D modeling software such as Inventor, Plant 3D, and Revit.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards like API, NACE, HI, ANSI NFPA.
  • Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics software.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for field support.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a project schedule.
  • Professional interaction with clients and co-workers in a team environment.
  • A valid passport or the ability to obtain one.
