Overview

The Piping Designer position in the Mechanical Department involves designing piping systems and developing 3D models and drawings using software like Plant 3D, Revit, and Navisworks.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Develop and maintain accurate 3D models and drawings of mechanical piping systems.
  • Apply engineering principles into the design of mechanical piping systems for process facilities.
  • Create piping isometrics and define pipeline materials of construction.
  • Review and provide input into P&ID’s and select pumps/pipeline components.
  • Meet project deadlines for modeling and document deliverables.
  • Learn and engage in various aspects of mechanical engineering and new technologies.
  • Enhance proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, and Navisworks software.

Requirements

  • Associates degree, trade school, technical certification, or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with clients and co-workers professionally and respectfully.
  • Capability to work in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for field support.
  • A valid passport or the ability to obtain one.
