Job Description

Polk Mechanical is seeking a skilled and experienced Piping Superintendent to lead and oversee all piping activities on commercial construction sites. This role is responsible for supervising crews, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and keeping projects on schedule and within budget.

Supervise and coordinate all piping installation activities on commercial construction projects Interpret piping blueprints, specifications, and project documents to ensure proper installation and system performance Ensure all work complies with local codes, project requirements, and safety standards Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and other trades to streamline workflow and avoid conflicts Develop and maintain detailed work schedules, track progress, and adjust manpower as needed Conduct regular inspections of ongoing work to uphold quality assurance and safety compliance Monitor labor productivity and material usage to control costs and meet project deadlines Lead daily safety meetings and ensure strict adherence to job site safety protocols Minimum 8 years of verifiable experience in the plumbing/piping trade Minimum 4 years of proven supervisory experience in commercial mechanical construction In-depth knowledge of piping systems, including domestic water, sanitary systems, and medical gas installations Strong ability to read and interpret piping blueprints, specifications, and related trade documents Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to supervise multiple foremen Valid driver's license required OSHA-30 certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
